The best time to open your pool is when night time temperatures start to consistently exceed 5-10 degrees Celsius. The longer you wait to open your pool with warm temperatures the more likely you are to open your pool to an algae bloom.

The best time to winterize or close your pool is when temperatures are consistently below 10 degrees celsius. Closing your pool when temperatures are warm will increase your chances of an algae bloom. The longer you can wait to close your pool the better.

If temperatures start to drop close to the freezing point that's ok just ensure that your pump or automation systems freeze protect is turned on.

This Largely depends on how dirty your pool gets and what type of pool filter you have.

For Cartridge Filters: Clean 2-3 times per year. If your pool experiences a lot of heavy debris or an algae bloom you may need to clean them more often.

For Sand Filters: Backwash every 1-2 weeks, after vacuuming or if you experience heavy amounts of debris in your pool.
