Mastery In Every Margin

A Hipel pool is more than an architectural statement. It is a catalyst for connection. It is the place where Sunday afternoons slow down, where the digital world fades, and where your family gathers without distraction. We design spaces that draw people together—offering you a private resort experience that feels less like a getaway and more like coming home.

Our design philosophy rejects the ornamental in favor of the essential. By combining old-world craftsmanship with modern technical precision, we create outdoor environments defined by clean lines and structural permanence. We don’t just build to impress; we build to endure.

From Vision To Blueprint

This is what the Hipel Pools design process looks like in action. Every element of this backyard transformation — from the fiberglass pool and interlock deck to the pergola, firepit seating area, and curated planting beds — has been thoughtfully considered and precisely planned before a single shovel breaks ground. Our detailed 2D layout plans give you a clear, comprehensive view of your future outdoor space. This is the level of detail, care, and expertise that goes into every Hipel Pools project.

From Vision To Reality

Eight Steps To The Backyard You've Always Imagined

At Hipel Pools, exceptional results don't happen by accident — they're the product of a refined, proven process built on expertise, collaboration, and meticulous attention to detail. From your very first conversation with our team to the moment you step into your finished outdoor environment, every phase is carefully managed to ensure the result exceeds your expectations. Here's how we bring your vision to life.

  • Hipel Pools Request A Quote

    1) Inquiry: Tell Us About About Your Project Details

Fill out our request a quote form. We’ll ask about the following

    • Project Scope (Pool, Patio, Structures, Fencing, etc)
    • Project Address
    • Wishlist/ your vision for the space
    • Project Budget
    • Project Timeline

Having a budget isn’t about pressure; it helps us point you in the right direction from the start.

What you’ll get: A reply within one business day, plus a quick guide showing how we work and a few past projects.

  • Vinyl Liner Inground Pool With Latham Crystal Quartz Liner

    2) A Quick Call: Let's Hear What You're Dreaming Of

We’ll set up a 15 to 20 minute chat to hear more about your plans and answer your questions.

    • Learn about your project. What you’re picturing, how you want to use your backyard.
    • Talk through your options. We’ll explain our two ways to build, Signature Packages and Custom Backyard Design.
    • Give you a sense of investment. We’ll share where projects like yours typically land, so there are no surprises down the road.
    • Answer your questions. Permits, timelines, pool types, maintenance — ask us anything.
    • Plan your site visit. If we’re a good fit, we’ll book your consultation and send a short questionnaire to help us prepare.

    3) Preparing For Your Site Visit

Before we come out, we’ll send a short questionnaire so we can get to know you, your yard and your goals. It takes about 10 minutes, and “not sure yet” is always a fine answer.

    The questionnaire covers:

    • How you’ll use your space. Family swimming, entertaining, relaxing, or a bit of everything.
    • Your wishlist. Pool features, patios, fire features, lighting, landscaping and anything else on your mind.
    • Your style. Upload any inspiration photos you’ve saved from Pinterest, Instagram, Houzz or anywhere else.
    • Your property. Slopes, drainage, access, and a copy of your property survey if you have one.

While you’re filling that out, we’ll do our homework too:

    • Reviewing your property using aerial imagery and the lay of the land.
    • Checking local bylaws for setbacks, fencing and pool enclosure requirements.

Why it matters: We show up already knowing your yard and your goals, so our time together goes to the good stuff: your ideas.

    4) Designer Visit & Property Walkthrough

Our designer comes to your home for about an hour to an hour and a half. It’s a relaxed conversation where we get to see your space in person and talk through your ideas together. The consultation is free.

    During the visit, we’ll:

    • Walk your yard together. We’ll look at slopes, drainage, access, trees and sun, the details that shape what’s possible and what it takes to build.
    • Talk about how you want to live outside. Where you’ll lounge, where the kids will play, where you’ll gather with friends, and how it all flows from the house.
    • Talk honestly about investment. We’ll give you a sense of where projects like yours usually land, so you can plan with confidence.
    • Answer your questions. About pools, materials, timelines, permits, maintenance, or anything else on your mind.

What you’ll get: A clear picture of what’s possible in your yard, an honest sense of investment, and our recommendations based on your yard.

    5) Your Design: Where Your Backyard Takes Shape

This is where your ideas become a real plan. For complete outdoor spaces, we design your entire backyard from scratch around your property, your style and the way you live. It usually takes two to four weeks, including revisions, and you’ll see every detail long before construction begins.

    During the design stage, we’ll:

    • Survey your yard in detail. We measure your grades and elevations on site, so every wall, step and patio is planned around the real lay of the land.
    • Plan drainage and access. We work out where water will go and how equipment will reach your backyard before construction, not during it.
    • Bring your backyard to life in 3D. See your pool, patio, lighting, landscaping and outdoor living spaces designed together, so you can picture exactly how it will look and flow.
    • Share a first concept and budget range. You’ll see the design direction and the investment early, so there are no surprises later.
    • Refine it together. We’ll fine-tune the layout, materials and features with you until it feels just right.
    • Credit your design fee. Your design fee is credited in full toward your build when you build with us.

Why it matters: Designing before we build means fewer surprises, a price you can count on, and a backyard that works with your yard instead of against it.

  • Untitled design (1)

    6) Your Proposal: Every Detail, Clearly Laid Out

Once your design is ready, we’ll go over it together and walk through it from start to finish. You’ll see your backyard come to life in 3D, along with a clear, detailed proposal that shows exactly what it takes to build.

    During your proposal meeting, we’ll:

    • Walk through your design in 3D, so you can picture every part of your new backyard before construction begins.
    • Go through your proposal line by line, covering what’s included, what your site needs, and what each part costs.
    • Explain your site plan, including grades, retaining walls, drainage and access, so you know how your yard will be built, not just what it will look like.
    • Show you upgrades worth considering, like an automatic cover, lighting, automation, heating, water features or fire features, so you can choose what matters most to you.
    • Review your timeline and payment schedule, so you know exactly what to expect from start to finish.
    • Answer every question. Take your time. We want you to feel completely confident before moving forward.

Our promise: No vague allowances hiding surprises. Because we designed your project around your actual yard, the price you see is a price you can count on

    7) Let’s Build It: Bringing Your Design to Life

Once you’re ready to move forward, we’ll take care of the details and get your project on the schedule. The same team that designed your backyard builds it, so everything we planned together carries right through to the finished project.

    Here’s what happens next:

    • Sign your agreement and secure your spot. Once your agreement is signed and your deposit is in, your project is officially on our build schedule.
    • We handle the permits. We take care of pool enclosure permits and any other approvals your project needs, along with utility locates before we dig.
    • Pre-construction meeting. Before we start, we’ll walk you through your build timeline, what each phase involves, and how to prepare your yard, like where to park and how we’ll access the backyard.
    • Construction begins. From excavation and setting your pool to patios, walls, lighting and landscaping, our crew builds your backyard exactly as designed.
    • Clear communication throughout. You’ll always know what’s happening, what’s coming next, and who to call with questions.
    • Changes handled the right way. If you decide to add something along the way, we’ll show you the cost and timing up front before any work is done.

Why it matters: Because your project was fully designed and priced before we broke ground, construction stays on track, and the backyard you approved is the backyard you get.

  • Kassandharrison-1

    8) Time to Swim: Handover and Beyond

This is the moment it all comes together. Once construction wraps, we’ll make sure everything is working perfectly and that you feel confident taking care of your new pool from day one.

Here’s how we finish your project:

    • Pool startup. We fill your pool, start up your equipment, and balance your water so it’s ready to swim.
    • Final walkthrough. We walk your entire backyard with you to make sure every detail matches the design you approved. If anything needs attention, we’ll take care of it.
    • Learn your pool. We’ll show you how everything works, from your pump, filter and heater to your automatic cover, lighting and any automation, so nothing feels intimidating.
    • Your maintenance kit. You’ll get the essentials to keep your water clean and clear, plus tips to make upkeep simple.
    • Your warranty information. We’ll go over the warranties on your pool, equipment and workmanship, so you know exactly what’s covered.
    • Ongoing care, if you want it. Prefer to leave the upkeep to us? We offer seasonal pool openings and closings, along with routine maintenance and service, to keep your pool looking its best year after year.
    • Support when you need it. Questions after your first swim? Just reach out. We’re here to help long after the last shovel is put away.

Then it’s yours to enjoy. Cannonballs, sunset swims, and summer nights by the fire. This is what we built it for.

Designed For Living, Built For Legacy

A Hipel pool is more than an architectural statement. It is a catalyst for connection. It is the place where Sunday afternoons slow down, where the digital world fades, and where your family gathers without distraction. We design spaces that draw people together—offering you a private resort experience that feels less like a getaway and more like coming home.
Why Should I Invest In A Landscape Design Before Construction Begins?

In high-end architectural design, "good enough" is a risk you shouldn't take. Our 2D Layout Plans & 3D renderings provide absolute visual certainty. They allow you to experience the spatial flow, the play of light on water at sunset, and the texture of materials in relation to your home’s architecture. It is the bridge between a conceptual dream and a technical reality, ensuring the final build is what you imagined with out costly oversights.

How Can We Achieve Total Privacy Without The "Closed-In" Feel Of Traditional Fencing

We prefer "Living Architecture." Rather than static fences, where possible we design multi-layered privacy screens using mature, specimen-grade evergreens, pleached hedging, and strategic topographic shifts. This creates a soft, acoustic barrier that feels like a natural sanctuary rather than a walled enclosure.

How do I get started with a pool and landscape design consultation with Hipel Pools?

Getting started is simple. Request A Quote to get the ball rolling and start a conversation with our landscape designer. After an Initial call if the fit is right we can schedule a private design consultation, during which we'll learn about your property, your lifestyle, and your vision for the space. From there, our designers develop a tailored concept and present it to you in full detail. Reach out today and take the first step toward an outdoor environment that exceeds every expectation.

How Much Does A Landscape Design Cost?

Every Hipel Pools project is a custom commission, so the investment varies depending on the scale, complexity, and specific elements involved. Landscape designs start at $1,500, with larger and more elaborate environments scaled accordingly.

During your initial consultation, we take the time to understand your vision and your budget and we're always straightforward about what different scopes of work involve. The best first step is simply reaching out — tell us what you're dreaming of, and we'll tell you what it takes to bring it to life.

What Is The Tangible Benefit Of Our Design/Build Philosophy?

When the designer is also the builder, there is no "lost in translation." Our 3D renderings and 2D Plans aren't just pretty pictures; they are built on real-world survey data and material costs. This eliminates the common friction of an architect designing something that cannot be built or a contractor building something that wasn't intended. You get one vision, executed with total accountability.

What Makes Hipel Pools Different From Other Pool & Landscape Design Companies?

Hipel Pools is a true design-build pool company — and that distinction matters more than most homeowners realize. The majority of companies offering pool and landscape design are, at their core, landscaping companies. While they may excel at planting schemes and hardscaping, pools are simply outside their wheelhouse. Many will quietly subcontract the pool construction to a third party, leaving you with fractured accountability and no single team truly owning the outcome. Others attempt the pool work themselves without the depth of knowledge and hands-on experience required to do it properly.

At Hipel Pools, the pool is our foundation — not an afterthought. We have spent years mastering the engineering, construction, and design of exceptional pools, and we bring that same elite expertise to every surrounding landscape we create. The result is a seamlessly integrated outdoor environment designed and built by a team that genuinely knows every element inside and out. When you work with Hipel Pools, there are no subcontractors, no knowledge gaps, and no compromises — just one world-class team delivering a result that is extraordinary from the water's edge to the last stone.

How Does Hipel Pools Approach Sustainable & Low-maintenance landscape design?

Luxury and sustainability are not mutually exclusive — in fact, the most enduring outdoor environments are designed with longevity and ease of care in mind. Hipel Pools incorporates energy-efficient pool equipment, smart automation systems, drought-tolerant and native planting selections, and durable natural materials that age beautifully. The goal is an outdoor space that looks extraordinary year after year with minimal upkeep on your part.

What Landscaping Styles Does Hipel Pools Specialize In?  Our designers are fluent in a wide range of landscape styles, from resort-style tropical retreats and sleek minimalist environments to lush English garden aesthetics and rugged natural stone settings. We don't impose a signature look — we design around you. After learning about your preferences, lifestyle, and how you intend to use the space, we develop a landscape concept that feels entirely personal and utterly distinct.
